Covering an area of 232,000 hectares, Kwando Concession, in the far north of Botswana, along the winding Kwando River, is one of the largest and wildest private wildlife concession areas in the country. This vast tract of African bush with only two lodges, has excellent resident game that swells to great numbers during the dry season, providing for the perfect setting for a remote and wild safari experience. The Kwando ecosystem is dominated by the Kwando river, vast plains with scattered palms and tree islands dotted with wooded savannahs. The concession is known for its large elephant population especially during the winter season and is home to a wide variety of Africa’s plains game such as Zebra, wildebeest, impala, giraffe, tsessebe, lechwe, waterbuck and sitatunga. Leopard, lion, cheetah and wild dogs are common predator sightings in Kwando during game drives.
