Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park, formerly Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve, is the oldest proclaimed nature reserve in Africa. Located in the Kwazulu natal region, 280 kilometers north of Durban, the park is known for its rich wildlife and conservation efforts. The conservation efforts have led to the park having the largest white rhino population in the world. The park Measures 96,000 hectares in size (960 square kilometers) and is home to the Big 5 (leopard, elephant, lion, buffalo and rhino) and 86 other species including; spotted hyena, blue wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, waterbuck, cheetah ,jackal, eland, kudu, warthog, monkeys among many others.
